Robert Greenberry Hill Jr.

Robert was a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a fantastic Grandfather (Pappy). Robert, age 83, was born June 9, 1941 in Stockton, CA, the eldest of six siblings. He left this earth to be with God on February 7, 2025. A resident of Yorba Linda, CA for the past 48 years, but raised in Palm Springs. Robert was an Army Veteran and served in Berlin, Germany from 1959-1964. When he came home, he went to Seattle University and graduated in 1967. He then became a Real Estate Appraiser like his father Robert G. Hill, Sr. He will be missed dearly by all those whose path he crossed and had the opportunity to know and love him, especially his family. Robert leaves behind a wife of 41 years, Laurie Nelissen Hill, a son, Robert Edward Hill, and two daughters, Elizabeth Hill Grote and Deborah Hill. He also had four granddaughters and a son-in-law, Ryan Grote. He also leaves behind two brothers, Richard Hill and Walter Hill, and two Sisters, Patty Hill Read and Peggy Hill Gallo. He is proceeded in death by his brother, Thomas Hill. Remembrances may be made to Robert's favorite charities, "Tunnel to Towers” and “Wounded Warrior Project". A Mass of Catholic burial will be held at St. Mary of the Valley in Yucca Valley, CA on May 8, 2025 at 11 am. Burial will be afterwards at the Palm Springs Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his parents and brother.
