On November 22, 2022, Kim Heer (Keller) passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 67 in Yorba Linda, California, after a prolonged struggle with her health. She spent her whole life fighting the good fight with faith and fortitude and is now enjoying eternity with our Lord, Jesus Christ, due to the fruits of her labor. Kim was born in Fresno, California on April 18th, 1955, to her loving parents, Russell and Jean Keller. She had fond childhood memories of riding horses and playing in the countryside with her brother Kevin and with her many cousins, aunts, and uncles. In her teenage years, she helped care for her father who was struggling with a terminal illness. While caring for him, it became clear to her that her mission in life was to help and serve others. Prior to his passing, her father had a dream that she had two sons, which she never forgot. The death of her father left a trail of grief behind, but she later found the peace she was seeking when she accepted Jesus Christ into her heart as her savior in 1972. This transformed her life forever and gave her a passion for sharing God’s saving grace with others. While attending Biola University in Southern California to pursue a nursing career, Kim met Robert Heer Jr. They later married and she had her two sons, Robert Heer III and John Heer. Kim was a devoted mother and was later blessed to be a grandmother to her three beautiful granddaughters. She faithfully worked as a registered nurse for 40 years till her retirement. Throughout her life, she maintained an active role in her church and was a prayer warrior for her family and friends.
Kim is survived by her son Robert Heer III and his wife Diana in Germany; her son John Heer and his wife Dana in Oregon; her three granddaughters Zoë Xylia, Jade Rose, and Sophie Grace; her mother’s husband Robert Kiehl in Fresno; her half-sister Tracy Layne and her children Kevin and Samantha and grandchildren Hailey Victoria and Aiden Tyler in Fresno.
Please join us to celebrate Kim’s life at her memorial service at Life Cathedral Church of God located at 6901 N. Maple Ave in Fresno on January 28th, 2023, at 10:00 am.
