Ann is predeceased by her son, Christopher Beals. She is survived by her parents, Pauline and Norman Richard, and her siblings, Billy (Paula) Richard, Gigi Richard, Norma (Steve) Busch, Bobby Richard, and Nicole (Lenny) Castillo.
Ann was born on September 8, 1952 in Gardner, Massachusetts. As the eldest child growing up in an Air Force family, Ann had the opportunity to live in many different places, including Maine, Tennessee, Virginia, Oregon, California, and Colorado.
Ann graduated from Henley High School in Klamath Falls, Oregon in 1970, and went to school for dental assisting. After a few years in the dental field, Ann found better opportunities in the aerospace industry as an executive assistant. She spent almost 20 years working for McDonnell-Douglas and Boeing. In 1995, she switched careers and landed her dream job in the visual merchandising department at Disneyland. She had a creative eye and a streak of perfectionism that inspired her work.
Ann was drawn to the finest, loveliest things in life. In turn, she made things lovely around her, from her elegant calligraphy to her willingness to help others. Gracious and kind, Ann was a true lady, in every sense of the word. She treasured her nieces and nephews, calling them her “babies”, and she made many joyous memories with them. She loved to dance, write, and wear red lipstick. While she was reserved, Ann had a loud and infectious laugh that epitomized her vivacity.
A funeral Mass for Ann will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Yorba Linda.
