Sheila J. Donato

She was born on November 11, 1951 to David P. and Sheila Gillespie Condon in the Bronx. She attended schools in Pelham graduating from St. Catherine’s Grade School and Pelham Memorial High School. Mrs. Donato was a dental assistant for Dr. Arthur Kaplan, an orthodontist in Yonkers for over twenty five years until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She loved to read while enjoying the sun, swimming, and spoiling her three grandchildren. She was a loving mother to her two children and aunt to her nieces and nephews. She dedicated her life to being there for her family and friends, while never putting herself first. Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Borrelli and her husband Sam of Yonkers, a son, Peter Donato of Yonkers and a brother, David P. Condon, Jr. of Pelham. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Olivia, Alexa and Sam. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday March 20th at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
