He was born on November 27, 1957 in Yonkers, NY, to Edward J. Pilholski and Virginia Monahan Pilholski. Robert was raised in Yonkers and attended St. Joseph’s grade school and Sacred Heart High School. In 1982, he married Deborah Malcolm. He is survived by his beloved wife and son, Robert E. Pilholski. He is also survived by his brothers Thomas Pilholski and sister in law Christine and Brian Pilholski and sister in law Christine, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother Edward.
In 1979, Robert joined the Yonkers Police Department and was appointed a patrolman on March 30, 1979. He rose up through the ranks in the YPD and retired as a Captain on August 9, 2008. He also worked in Executive Protection for a few years following his retirement from the YPD.
Rob was a member of the Lakers A.C., Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the 48 club on Morningside. He enjoyed playing golf, watching college football, and going to the gym, but most of all spending time with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday May 25th from 4-8pm. A memorial mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Friday May 26th at 1pm. Final disposition will be private.
