Rita Kelly

Rita was raised and educated in Yonkers, graduating from Commerce High School. Rita was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Yonkers, was a member of the Amackassin Club and was a fabulous tennis player. Rita married her loving husband Joseph Kelly in St. Anthony’s Church. Rita was an inspiration and loving guidance for her three children, Jo-Anne, Carol Anne and Todd, who loved her all of her life. They will take her teachings and life lessons with them for the rest of their lives. Her daughter said “She was a wonderful mother and best friend.” Rita is also survived by five grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, Souvenir Yonkers and four sisters, Lucille Putorti, Marcella Putorti, Lorraine Larson and Mae Gallagher. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday March 28th 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony’s Church on Friday March 29th at 10am. Cremation will follow at Ferncliff Crematory in Hartsdale.
