Phyllis M. Connor

Phyllis M. Connor of Yonkers passed away on May 30, 2015. She was born on June 26, 1926 to John T. and Helen M. (Palmer) Connor and lived in Irvington before moving to Yonkers where she lived for over 60 years. Phyllis graduated from Gorton HS in Yonkers. She worked as a secretary for Metro North Railroad for over 60 years. She was a member of the Fr. Solanus Casey Prayer Guild and a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Church in Yonkers. Phyllis is survived by Kathleen and John Mahoney of Tappen, NY and Karen and Richard Harmer of Wappinger’s Falls, NY. She was predeceased by her sister Jeanne in 2003. Visiting hours will be in Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday June 3rd from 1-5pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Christ the King Church on Thursday June 4th at 11am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations can be made in Phyllis’ name to Rosary Hill Home 600 Linda Avenue Hawthorne NY 10532.
