Peter Milohnic

Peter Milohnic of Yonkers died on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at age 101. Born on May 31, 1909 to Peter and Marija (Nenadic) Milohnic in Croatia where he was raised and educated, he has been a Yonkers resident for over fifty years. Mr. Milohnic was the maintenance supervisor for American Pharmaceutical in the Bronx for over thirty years (retiring in 1974). On February 6, 1933 he married Margaret (Zec) in St. Peter’s Church in Bazac, Croatia, she died in 1996. Peter was a parishioner of Sacred heart Church; enjoyed making wine and loved fishing and his garden. He is survived by his son, Peter and his wife Maryann of Amawalk; four grandchildren Margaret, Deborah, Mariann and Peter Joseph and seven great-grandchildren; Matthew, Thomas, Olivia, Joseph, Layne, Peter and Alexis, and his Daughter-in-Law Nada Milohnic. He was predeceased by his son Anthony and his Daughter Mary Milohnic.

Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will in Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, September 1st at 9:30 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
