Peter T. Donohue

Peter T. Donohue, Jr., 64 of Yonkers, N.Y. died suddenly on February 28, 2011. He was born on August 22, 1946 to Peter and Margaret Donohue in New York City. He moved to Yonkers in 1957 where he graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1964 and attended Westchester Community College before working for IBM Corporation in Armonk, N.Y., from which he retired after thirty years. He was active in local sport clubs for youth in Yonkers, refereeing basketball as well as umpiring and coaching Little League baseball for the Colts Club in Nepera Park for a number of years. In later years he was an avid golfer as well. He is survived by his wife, Dreama; his son, Peter E. Donohue, his daughter Erin and her husband Sean Harker; his grandchildren Declan and Sydney, his sisters Maureen and Patricia; and his brothers Robert, John and Kevin. Peter was a devoted family man and will be deeply missed by family, friends and others who knew him. Visitation is at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home in Yonkers on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church on Nepperhan Avenue on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Yonkers.
