She was born on March 7, 1931 to Robert and Eva McDade in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada where she was raised and educated. She attended graduate school at Penn State University and attended the Julliard School of Music in New York City where she met the love of her life, Frank T. Kennedy. On August 9, 1958, they were married at the Church of Our Saviour in New York City. Mr. Kennedy died on September 30, 1986. Mrs. Kennedy was proud to be a homemaker and mother. In her early years, she was active in the Girl Scouts, the PTA and the Queens Daughters Thrift Shop. In her later years, she was a member of the Chaminade Music Club of Yonkers and the Hudson River Museum. She was also a longtime parishioner and supporter of Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers. Mrs. Kennedy enjoyed going to concerts with friends, listening to the Yankees and loved to cook dishes inspired by Julia Childs. She is survived by her loving daughter, Margaret Kennedy of Hampton, New Jersey. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Horgan. A memorial mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday July 1st at 11am. Burial services will be private.
