Mary Tipa

Mary Tipa (nee Petnuch) of Yonkers died on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at age 80. Born on August 17, 1932 to John and Helen (Milas) Petnuch in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce High School. On February 13, 1954 she married Vito Tipa in Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, he survives. She is also survived by her two children; Lynn (Joseph) Jacoby of White Plains and Thomas Tipa. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Nicole, Jonathan, Robert and Craig and one step grandson, Joseph. She was predeceased by her two brothers John and Michael Petnuch. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Monday, October 29th at 10: a.m. Interment Oakland Cemetery.
