Marion J. DeMuro (nee Farrell) of Yonkers died on Tuesday July 5, 2011 at age 86. She was born on July 12, 1924 to Raymond and Julia (Doyle) Farrell in Yonkers where she was raised and graduated from Commerce H.S. Mrs. DeMuro worked at Habrishaw Wire and Cable Co for many years; it’s also where she met her future husband and on September 19, 1948 she married Louis DeMuro in Sacred Heart Church, he survives. Marion was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew’s Church and a member of the Westchester Gem and Mineral Association. Besides her husband she is survived by her 4 children; Louis P. (Terry) DeMuro of Verbank, NY, Marion E. DeMuro of Yonkers, Linda M. DeMuro (Michael) Tyner of Greensboro, NC and Judith M. (Tony Galarza) DeMuro of Yonkers, her granddaughter Angelica, her brother Raymond Farrell and 3 sisters Eileen McSpedon, Peggy (Honey) Manning and Judy Farrell. She was predeceased by 2 brothers William and Robert Farrell and 2 sisters Joan Liber and Helen Greco. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and friends. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Bartholomew’s Church on Friday July 8th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
