Margaret T. Brundage, age 100 passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was born in Yonkers on March 1, 1917 to George C. and Frances M. Hennessey Palmerton. Margaret was very proud that she grew up across from Sacred Heart and graduated from Sacred Heart Schools. She married Richard S. Brundage, Sr. on December 22, 1938 in Tuckahoe, NY; he died February 1, 1988. Margaret was a volunteer in St. Peter’s Elementary School and also for the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was a former member of the Rosary Society; she enjoyed playing the piano and had an appreciation for dance. Margaret loved playing bingo with friends and wonderful conversations afterward. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the sparkle in her eye. She is survived by a son Stephen E. a daughter Peggy (Margaret A.) Brundage and a brother George C. Palmerton also by her 5 grandchildren Alan, Kelly, James, Schuyler and Scott, and 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband and 3 sons Richard S. Jr, William H. George C. a brother John and 5 sisters Rita Kimmy, Frances Wilchek, Agnes Sullivan, Maryann Marietta and Jeanne Cairns. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Thursday at 9:30am. Interment will be in Holy Mount Cemetery (Eastchester, NY). Memorial donations can be made her Margaret’s name to Sacred Heart Church.
