Madeline Torhan Trichter

Trichter, Madeline Trevorah Torhan, 95, Tarpon Springs, Florida, former 88 year resident of Yonkers, New York, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 with family by her side. Madeline was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and went on to retire from the City of Yonkers Department of Housing after 22 years of employment. Madeline’s family however, was her #1 priority. She was predeceased by two former husbands, Julius John Torhan and Samuel Harry Trichter; her parents, Thomas and Mary Connolly Trevorah; and siblings, Elizabeth Lages, Alice, William, Thomas, Edward and Joseph Trevorah. Survivors include two daughters, Madeline Patricia Hall (David), Palm Harbor, Florida and Janet Torhan Smith (Dennis), Palm Harbor, Florida; two step-daughters, Lynne Trichter Nussbaum (Alan), Queens, NY and Jane B. Trichter, NYC, NY; one brother, Donald J Trevorah; grandchildren, Paul Lind, Janet Hodges, Brian Smith and Sheryl Smith; great grandchildren, William, Samantha, Jacob, Kaitlin, Zoe, Sarah-Hart, Jack; and Godchildren, Robert M. Palm and Madeline D. Makris. Visitation will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, Yonkers, NY on Friday, October 31st from 6:00-8:00pm . Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday November 1st. at 9:45 am at St. Margaret’s of Cortona, Bronx, NY with final committal services at St. Joseph’s Cemetery of Yonkers.
