Lynn Irene Runge

Lynn Irene Runge (nee Patterson) of Yonkers died on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at age 72. Born on July 23, 1940 to John and Margaret (Smith) Patterson in Queens, N.Y. where she was raised and attended local schools. She also studied and graduated from Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn where she became a registered nurse. Mrs. Runge along with her husband Wilhelm were owners of Runge Moving and Storage Co. On December 17, 1960 she married Wilhelm L. Runge in Jamaica, N.Y.; he died on September 22, 2009. Lynn was a member of the Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville. She is survived by her 6 sons; Wilhelm L. II; Peter John (Ellen); Robert Hermann; Charles Edward (Melissa); Matthew James (Marisol); and Mark Andrew (Valarie) Runge; also 7 grandchildren; Owen, Chloe, Liam, Luke, Logan, Emily and Kayla, her sister Gail Deason. Visitation will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday November 25, 2012 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday November 26, 2012 at 10am Rev. Robert Hartwell officiating. Committal Service to follow at Ferncliff Chapel.
