Joseph Simon was born and raised in Yonkers, NY. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Simon and Anna Sapienza. He is survived by his sister, Theresa (Robert) and nieces and nephews and predeceased by his brother, Robert (Marion). He is also survived by his 3 daughters who he cherished and his 4 grandchildren that were his pride and joy. Lori (Jimmy), Lisa (Rick), and Leslie (Tommy) were his heart. His 4 grandchildren- Taylor, Tommy, Blake and Ryan will miss him so much.
Joseph, adoringly known as Joey worked hard all his life to support his family. When his career ended abruptly, he devoted his life to helping raise his grandchildren. He was a trusted ride and a great babysitter. The hole in our hearts is really big and we’ll miss him every day.
Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 3-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony's Church on Friday April 11th at 10am. Cremation will follow at Ferncliff Crematory.
Donations in his memory may be St. Jude Children's Research Hospital because of his love for children.
