Joe was born in New York City and raised in the Inwood section of Manhattan to Maria Susana Tactuk and Jose Morales. He is a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and Manhattan College, completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had a long career in construction management, and over the years was involved in a number of the larger projects around the city. Most recently his projects included work on Barclays Center and New York University’s CoGen Plant Upgrade.
Joe had a great passion for rock music and drumming. As a very talented musician, he practiced and performed with various groups since he was a teenager. He loved the camaraderie and creativity of playing live music.
As much as he loved music, by far his greatest passion in life was being with his extensive family and many friends. He cherished any time spent with his loved ones and would go out of his way to be available for those he cared about.
He is survived by his beloved wife and son, Katherine and Joseph, his father and stepmother, Jose and Olga Morales, his brother, Roberto Morales, his sisters-in-law, Lisa (Patrick) O’Malley and Kristine Holotko, and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Maria Susana Morales, father-in-law, Patrick F. Clifford Jr., mother-in-law, Kathleen E. Clifford, and niece, Jennifer Holotko.
