John E. Masser Jr.

John was born on July 17, 1953 in Riverdale, NY to John E. and Dorothy C. Masser, where he grew up and was a parishioner of St. Margaret of Cortona Church during his childhood. John was a Financial Services Professional, specializing in Payroll Tax Management and held senior positions at JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, and Goldman Sachs before his retirement. Mr. Masser is survived by his devoted wife, JoAnn Masser and his brother, Bill. He also survived by several nieces and nephews. John was an avid sportsman, having excelled in baseball not only as a player but also as a coach starting at the young age of 15. He was also a thespian, being a member of theatre group in NJ. He married his wife JoAnn on April 4, 1992 and moved to Old Bridge, NJ where he remained until his passing. John will be remembered as a vibrant, funny, witty and very engaging person who has remained close with many of his childhood friends. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Friday May 10th at 10am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
