Gerald A. Mazzarese Sr. of Yonkers died on Monday February 21, 2011 at age 55. He was born on September 2, 1955 to Nathan and Florence (Sampino) in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Yonkers H.S. Mr. Mazzarese worked as an Emergency Responder for the Salvation Army in Yonkers. He was a parishioner of St. John's Episcopal Church (Getty Square) and did volunteer work for the Salvation Army. He is survived by his wife Roberta (Mishk) and 7 children; Gerald, Robert, Christopher, Eric, George Thompson, Patrick Thompson and Harmony Thompson and 4 grandchildren Kristen, Xavier, Christian and Christopher, his sister Lisa Margiotta and her children Danielle and Nicole and his great nephew Steven. Visiting hours will be in the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday February 25th at 10am. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
