Frank was born in Yonkers, New York to Veronica and Joseph Sacco. He graduated from Commerce High School. After graduation he proudly served four years in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life Carol (Hanczor) on April 27, 1963 and they spent 60 happy years together. In 1966 Frank joined the Yonkers Fire Department and spent 31 years as a firefighter and Lieutenant retiring in 1997.
Frank was a proud founding member of the Laker's Athletic & Social Club which was founded in 1962 where he served as President for many years. His most cherished and lifelong friendships were cultivated during his tenure with the Lakers. Their bonds grew strong through softball and many various social events. Frank was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (Miles Scully Division). He was an avid Mets and Giants fan! He was a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Monastery Church and served as an usher for many years.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Carol, two children Frank Jr. (Jo Ann) and Donna Borelli (John), five grandchildren Samantha (Dylan), Dana (Andrew), Joseph, Frank III and Adrianna and two great-grandchildren Quinn and Callan. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Mary (May), and brothers Ronald and Robert.
Visitation hours are Thursday, January 25 from 3:00pm-7:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will occur on Friday, January 26 at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Monastery Church. Interment St. Joseph's cemetery.
