Frances A. O’Sullivan, 77 years old died on Sunday, October 26, 2014. She was born on February 11, 1937 in New York City to Andrew and Josephine (Nolan) Duffy. Frances grew up in Yonkers, N.Y., where she graduated from Charles E. Gorton High School, St. Joseph’s School of Nursing and Elizabeth Seton College. She worked as a pediatric nurse in St. Joseph’s Hospital, as well as a private duty nurse for a homecare agency. Frances loved to sew and was a very talented dressmaker. She will be dearly missed by her son, Jerry and his wife, Frances and the true joys of her life, her four grandchildren, Brendan, Martin, MaryJo and Margaret. To them, she was Nana. To her, they were everything. She is also survived her brothers, Andrew (Trudi) and John (Joan), and her sister, Mary O’Mara (George). Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home On Tuesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place at Sacred Heart Monastery on Wednesday, October 29th at 9:30 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be sent to St. Cabrini Nursing Home, Dobbs Ferry, New York.
