Ellen M. Delaney

Ellen was born in Yonkers on September 19,1941 to Harold Delaney and Marion (Rudd) and was a graduate of Gorton High School, Suny at Oneonta, B.S. in Education, M.E.D. Teachers College, Columbia University M.A. , E.E.D. Doctorate.

She was employed at Bank Street College of Education, early childhood educator for 22 years and retired February of 2011. She also worked with young children with special needs in Headstart Day Care settings, Boces of Northern Westchester and Putnam.

Her faith was of utmost importance.She was an active member of The Church of The Visitation of The Blessed Virgin Mary.and later at Sacred Heart in Yonkers. She enjoyed being a Spiritual Director to whomever needed spiritual guidance.

She leaves behind loving cousins Elizabeth Ann Kirk, Patricia Pietropaoli and many other cousins and friends.

May she rest in peace.

A visitation for Ellen will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703. Following the visitation will be a mass of christian burial from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 110 Shonnard Pl., Yonkers, NY 10703.
