She was born on May 21, 1933 to Elmen and Josephine Scollard Babb in Manhattan and lived in Queens for most of her life. She attended Queens College and graduated from NYU. She worked at Morgan Guaranteed Trust in the bonds department through the 70’s. She was a student at the Arts League on West 57th St for ten years, painting live subjects and landscapes. Her passions were her family, art, tennis, swimming and chess. She worked at the prestigious Whitney Museum on Madison Ave. in Manhattan for seven years. She retired at age 70 after the September 11th attacks. She moved to Yonkers in 2006 to help raise her grandson. She was a lifelong Yankees fan and a devout Catholic. She is survived by three sons, Michael, Francis and Kenneth and four grandchildren, Scout, Kristi, Sunny and Valiant. She was predeceased by a son, James. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe on Friday May 28th at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
