Eileen Howe Novella

She was born on September 24, 1936 to Bernard and Anna Evanko Connors in Yonkers where she was raised and educated, graduating from Sacred Heart High School. Mrs. Novella was a social worker for Westchester County for twenty five years until her retirement. She was a member of the Gilda’s Club, the Bronxville Senior Center and the Nodine Senior Center. She enjoyed playing the piano, taking cruises and she was an avid knitter. She was also a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. In 1979, she married her loving husband Carlo Novella in Sacred Heart Church. Mr. Novella died December 23, 2015. Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Melnik and her husband Jeff of Yonkers and Linda Millen and her husband William of Yonkers and one son, Kenneth Howe of Utica. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Keith, Michael, Kelly, Kristin, Brian and Allison and two great grandchildren, Liliana and Weston. She was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Connors, Jr. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Monday August 26th at 10am. Final disposition will be private.
