Edna McCauley

Edna McCauley, 90, a longtime resident of Yonkers and Hastings on Hudson, passed away on Thursday January 14, 2016. She was the daughter of Edward and Mary Fesh Barratovich of Yonkers where she was raised and educated. After graduating from Longfellow High School she married and continued to raise her family in Yonkers. She was employed in the reproduction department at Nestles Foods in White Plains for 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Trinity Community Church in Bronx, N.Y. Her family was the center of her life. She was a caring person who always considered others before herself. She also was the caregiver of her elderly late mother and Aunt Julia in Florida before they passed. Her grandchildren have loving memories of sleepovers and holiday dinners with the extended family. She also enjoyed the company of her bowling friends and taking day trips to Atlantic City with seniors. Edna is survived by daughters: Lesley Pajer (Robert) and Rosemary DeLuca (Robert); grandchildren: Stacy Ann, Kelly Ann, Christine Marie, David Edward and Frankie; and four great grandchildren: Amanda, Jason, Evangeline and Leila, and her Sister-in-law Cherylann McCauley-Davidson and Rita Cody longtime companion of Francis E. McCauley. She was predeceased by her husband Francis H. McCauley and son, Francis E. McCauley. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & ball Funeral Home on Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday January 19th at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
