Dominic grew up on Fisher Avenue in White Plains, attending grade School at Post Road School.
He left White Plains to pursue minor seminary studies (high school) at the St Francis Seraphic Seminary in Andover, MA. Dominic continued major seminary studies in Wappingers Falls, NY and eventually received Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy and Theology from The Seminary of Immaculate Conception in Troy, NY. He later went on to receive a Masters of Public Administration from Pace University in White Plains. He was a civil servant, working as a supervisor in the social services office of Westchester County. He received many awards and honors for supporting and volunteering for many organizations around Yonkers where he resided for many years. Dominic was skilled in the arts and sciences. He had a passion for the classics. Dominic would relish in the sound of Mozart and countless operas. He also had a love for writing, having authored many short stories under the pseudonym Bud Boyd. While highly educated and intelligent, he lived a simple but very authentic lifestyle-a man open to anyone at any time. He was able to fix almost anything and be a help to anyone in need. He was able to debate
with scholars as well as sew a button on his own shirt. He took little and used little but gave much. Dominic is predeceased by his parents, Leonardo and Rose Sacchetti, his Sister Angelina Fardo (Sacchetti) and His first wife Mary Sacchetti (O’brien). He is survived by his wife, Rosario Villarosa and loving niece Anne Marie Fardo and nephew Richard Fardo.Visiting Hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday March 28th at 10am. Final disposition will be private.
