Diane Louise Duernberger, a resident of Middletown, NY formerly of Coral Springs, FL and Yonkers died on Wednesday August 12, 2015 at Park Manor Rehab and Healthcare Center in Middletown, N.Y. Her son and his family were by her side. She was 67 years old. She was born on May 10, 1948 to George and Fernanda Pagnoni Lloyd in Springfield, MA. She was raised and educated in Yonkers. In 2002, she moved to Coral Springs, FL to be close to her childhood friend, Buttons. While she was there she made many new friends. She lived there until May 2015 then she returned home to NY. She enjoyed family reunions, playing cards, playing bingo, reading, crossword puzzles and listening to jokes. She was also a fan of wrestling and the Yankees and never missed an episode of Days Of Our Lives. Blue was her favorite color. Her family said “her grandchildren were her life.” Her face would light up when she heard the words “Hi Grandma”. She was so very proud of them. In 1967, she married Donald Duernberger in Yonkers. Mr. Duernberger died on March 28, 2008. Survivors include one son, Donald Duernberger, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Middletown and two daughters, Catherine Genshino and her husband William of Florida and Paula Duernberger of Florida. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Justin Krasko, Joseph and Elizabeth Duernberger, Jennifer Cohen and Michael Colon, III. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Danielle Krasko. Her family will be forever grateful to the Park Manor Staff for the care provided to their mother. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Saturday morning
only from 10am to 1pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday August 15th at ¬1pm.. Cremation will follow at Ferncliff Crematory. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
