Daniel Michael Butler (YFD), a resident of New Fairfield, Ct. formerly of Yonkers, died on Sunday April 30, 2017. He was 41 years old. He was born on August 15, 1975 to Arthur and Susan Longbucco Butler in Yonkers where he was raised and educated graduating from Sacred Heart High School. He attended Westchester Community College where he received an Associate’s Degree and then attended the Westchester Business Institute in Hartsdale where he received an Associate’s Degree in Networking and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Mr. Butler was a firefighter for the City of Yonkers for the past 14 years and was assigned to Engine Co. 310 on Saw Mill River Road. Previously, he was a computer networker at Yonkers City Hall for a year. He enjoyed gaming and computers. On September 28, 2006, he married his loving wife, Marie Benenati in Eastchester. Mrs. Butler survives and lives in New Fairfield. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Susan Butler of Myrtle Beach, SC, a brother David Butler, father in law, Bob Benenati, sister in law, Theresa Benenati Charlton and her husband, Bruce, brothers in law, David and Joey Benenati, aunts, Joan Huxta and Sandra Logbucco, uncle, Jack Huxta, niece and nephew, Stephanie and Jonathan and cousins, Christie, Craig, John, Bryan, Lauren, Frank, Lisa and Bill. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church on Friday May 5th at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hastings on Hudson.
