Anne Loretta Ahearn

She was born on October 26, 1930 to Joseph and Anne Loretta Kennedy Ryan in Yonkers where she was raised and educated, graduating from the high school at Blessed Sacrament Academy. Mrs. Ahearn was a secretary at Christ the King Church in Yonkers and previously a secretary at the Riverdale Mental Health Association in Riverdale. Prior to that, she was a bookkeeper at the Julliard School of Music. On May 31, 1958, she married her loving husband Joseph A. Ahearn, Jr. in St. Joseph’s Church in Yonkers. Mr. Ahearn died on September 2, 2002. She is survived by five children, Joseph Ahearn, Maryanne (Ken) Ceriello, Margaret (Pierce) Gallagher, James (Luz) Ahearn and Eileen (Pete) Butler. She is also survived by ten grandchildren. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday 3-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Tuesday August 20th at 11am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Catholic Charities of New York.
