She was born in Ermamin, Jordan and migrated to the United States with her late husband Elias Shehadeh in 1970. Amameh was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Good Shepard Roman Catholic Church in Yonkers. She was predeceased by her son’s, Farouk (Amal) Shehadeh, Dr. Naseem (Christine) Sayegh and her daughter Farial (Raji) Al-Hindi. She was a devoted mother to Jack (Lourans) Sayegh, Osama (Lisa) Sayegh, Sami (Donna) Sayegh, Fadia (Talal) Sayegh, Nadia Shehadeh, Kafa (Issa) Hasso, and Sana (Nader) Sayegh. She is survived by thirty-four grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Amameh is also predeceased by her brother Ibrahim Hasso and her sisters Tamam Sayegh and Eideh Hasso. She is survived by her sisters Helena Hasso and Muntaha Hasou. Amamah was the matriarch of her family, providing strong family values, and will be dearly missed. Visiting hours will be in Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4pm – 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 10am in St. Mary’s Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
