FALMOUTH - Sandra M. Doyle, 46, of Falmouth died peacefully in her sleep with her beloved husband by her side on December 13, 2013, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, after a valiant battle against melanoma. Born on February 19, 1967 in Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of Allen E. Coffey and the late Rose C. Coffey of Falmouth.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 20 years, Douglas H. Doyle of Falmouth; her father Allen E. Coffey and stepmother Rebecca M. Coffey of Falmouth; her brother Michael C. Coffey and his wife Ruth of Yarmouth; her niece Elizabeth R. Coffey of Yarmouth; her nephew Patrick A. Coffey and his wife Samantha and their children, Emmalee and Jonathan of Yarmouth; her father-in-law Gordon E. Doyle of Yarmouth; her brother-in-law Brian E. Doyle of Gray; her stepsisters, Pamela J. Christensen of Ft. Worth, TX and Diane L. Smith of Pine Bluff, AR.
Sandra enjoyed taking walks, feeding the birds, baking, gardening, taking trips in October, driving to Meredith, NH and spending time with her family especially her grand-niece and grand-nephew.
Sandra graduated from Falmouth High School in 1985 where in her senior year she was an editor on the yearbook staff, belonged to the Outing Club, and was a swim team manager.
Following high school she graduated from Andover College in 1987 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She worked at One Beacon following graduation where she started as a Typist for Commercial Lines and advanced over the years with the company to become an Underwriting Assistant II for Commercial Lines until 2010. In 2010 One Beacon sold the Commercial Lines to Hanover Insurance Group where she continued as an Underwriting Assistant II and was very dedicated to her work until the progression of her disease in July 2013.
The visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 20, from 5-7 p.m., at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, and a funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21 at 1:00 p.m. at the Falmouth Congregational Church, UCC, 267 Falmouth Road, Falmouth. A reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will be in the spring at Blanchard Cemetery.
