She was born in Gorham, ME on October 26, 1923, the daughter of Frank and Phyllis (Hackett) Clukey. She graduated from the Portland School System and went to work in the Lewiston Mills for a number of years. She married her first husband Harold W. Moulton Sr. in 1940, and together they raised their family. Harold passed away in 1989 and Louise remarried to Richard A. Standley in 1992 with whom she enjoyed traveling and camping during the summer.
Louise was a homemaker most of her life; making sure that her family was raised to be kind, loving people. She also was very active and involved with the Yarmouth Jr Woman’s League, Yarmouth Grange, Royal River Ext Group, and a Den Mother with the Boy Scouts. In the 1970’s, she operated the Holiday Motel in Yarmouth, but found that being a mom and wife was more rewarding. Louise was very involved with the Nazarene Church as she taught Bible and Sunday School to young children.
She was predeceased by her parents, her two husbands, sons Harold W. “Butch” Moulton Jr and Thomas R. Moulton and his wife Kathleen Moulton, as well as one sister and four brothers. Louise is survived by her son Edward F. “Chipper” Moulton and his wife Nancy Moulton of Yarmouth, daughter in-law Rosemary Moulton, grandchildren Ellen Moulton Merrill, Melissa Moulton Black, Karen Pulsifer, Darcee Krauss, Keith Moulton, Stephanie Moulton, and 8 great grandchildren.
