Larry was born in Brunswick, Maine to David Graham and Martha (Proulx) Graham on May 17, 1969. He grew up in Yarmouth, Maine. At school Larry participated in band, played soccer, basketball, ran cross country and competed in track and field. Larry attended college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and received his degree in Civil Engineering. While at RPI he joined the club rugby team which started a lifelong interest in the sport.
After college Larry got his PE license and did graduate work at the University of Maine in Orono. He worked at various companies in Maine, Massachusetts, and Colorado using his interest in old buildings to specialize in historic preservation. His notable projects included buildings at Harvard University and National Parks structures as well as spending a year in New Zealand. He was incredibly proud of the work he completed on the library in the town of Newberry Massachusetts.
When he wasn’t restoring buildings, Larry travelled the world. He went to England to visit his youngest brother, travelled to Ireland with his rugby team, chased his cousin all over Asia and islands around South America and travelled with friends to the UK many times. He travelled throughout the United States to fish, ski and watch his favorite sports teams from Boston.
Larry loved being with family and friends. He made sure to spend time with all of his relatives in Maine, New York and Florida. He was a great bachelor uncle to his nieces, nephews and cousin’s children.
Larry was predeceased by his father, David, grandparents and cousin.
He is survived by his mother, Martha Graham of Yarmouth, Maine; two brothers, Jon Graham (Mandy) of Parker, Colorado and Kevin Graham of North Yarmouth, Maine; nieces and nephews, Brynn, Tegan, Levi and Ellis as well as many loved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to a Gathering on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 12-2 PM at the Sacred Heart Church Hall, 326 Main St. Yarmouth.
