Keith James Asher

Keith James Asher passed away peacefully on March 20th. He was 87 years old.

Jim as he was fondly known was born in North Vassalboro, Maine to Keith Murray Asher and Eunice Vaughn Jones on November 15, 1935. Jim was raised in Yarmouth, Maine with his Sister Jean.

Jim married the love of his life Arlene Shirley Sanborn in Portland, Maine on June 29, 1957. They had three girls Laurie, Lynn and Lisa who they lovingly raised on Cumberland Foreside and Yarmouth respectively.

Jim took great pleasure in spending time with his family in the great outdoors. His hobbies included woodworking, hunting, rollerblading, camping, boogie boarding, and fishing.

Jim worked at Bryant Press, Mercy Hospital, Sanborn’s Express, Southern Maine Technical College and Goodwill.

Jim is predeceased by his wife of 49 years Shirley, and Great Granddaughter Addison Doughty.

He is survived and missed dearly by his Daughter’s Laurie, Lynn and Lisa, Grandchildren Anthony, (Wife Jessica), Dylan James Asher & Benjamin Faulkner, Vaughn (Wife Tia Marie) & Mackenzie Doughty, and Great Grandchildren Logan and Zoey Asher. Jim is also survived by his longtime sweetheart Jan Asher.

A graveside service will be held at 12:15 PM Saturday July 15, 2023 at Riverside Cemetery in Yarmouth, Maine. Arrangements by Lindquist Funeral Home www.lindquistfuneralhome.com
