Virginia’s family moved to Portland, Oregon where she graduated from Jefferson High School in 1941. Three years later she met the love of her life, Vincent Napolitano. They were married in Massachusetts on December 19, 1944. They moved to Middletown, NY and had their first child, Linda Jean Napolitano, born on March 17, 1947.
In 1949 they moved to Yakima, WA to be near Virginia’s family. This is where their journey began. In 1960 they opened their first clothing store and celebrated the birth of their second child, Paul Vincent Napolitano, born on November 22, 1960.
Virginia spent her life dedicated to her husband and children. She loved to host Sunday dinners for the entire family. Virginia was a loving and hard-working woman that enjoyed her house full of food, family and friends. Virginia was known as Grandma to all.
In 2012 Virginia lost her husband after 68 years of marriage. She spent her last several years living with her daughter Linda, with grandchildren and great grandchildren living on the same block. Many memories will be kept of Grandma’s hugs and sweet words!
Virginia is survived by her daughter Linda Berg and son Paul Napolitano (Debbie), 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
