Vinny was born on September 21, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph Peter Maltese and Eileen Mary Doyle Maltese.
At the age of 17 Vinny enlisted in the army. He was sent to the Yakima Firing Center, while there Vinny met The Hacketts. Vinny was discharged in 1968 and the Hacketts took him in and they have been family ever since. Vinny was a well-known drummer. For over 50 years he played in many bands throughout Yakima, he also traveled with bands. He once was part of the opening band for Johnny Paycheck as well as Sheb Wooly. He was playing in Alaska when he landed a role in the movie “Claws”. Vinny had several bands throughout the years, he played with John Baughmen, Larry Merritt and later with Steven James and his “Elvis” act. Vinny loved people and enjoyed hanging out at the Yakima Eagles.
Vinny is survived by his wife Debbie, sons Christopher Maltese, Joey Fox and Tommy and Johnny, his grandson Noah, his sister Mary (Sal) Yannucci, his nieces Nicole, Dana, Tracy, Nevaeh, Miley, Danielle, Ashley and Jessica, nephews Thomas, Dominic and Travis, Mother-in-law Sharon Taylor and brother-in-law Keith Taylor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and Mr. and Mrs. Hackett. And his father-in-law Ken Taylor

A visitation for Vincent will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902. A graveside service will occur Friday, October 28, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tahoma Cemtery, 1802 Tahoma Ave, Yakima, WA 98902.
