Steven R. Fischer, age 49, passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly on December 9, 2019 in Selah, WA. He was born on February 2, 1970, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Robert Fischer and Sharon Groenwoldt. He graduated from Winona State University, Winona MN with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. He was an operating room nurse at Memorial Hospital Surgery Center in Yakima, KVH in Ellensburg and performed patient care with Avail Home Health. He also worked as a transplant coordinator and operating room nurse in the specialties of neurosurgery, ophthalmology and transplant. Steven loved gardening and was a certified Master Gardener and certified organic farmer. He enjoyed sports, especially football, basketball and tennis. He also loved roller skating with his children. Other activities he enjoyed with his children were vacations, camping, video games and tending the farm animals. He had a love for all animals and especially enjoyed spending time with his dogs. Steven is survived by his wife Carol Ann, son Eli Fischer, daughters Emma and Chloe Fischer, father Robert Fischer Jr, stepmother Nancy Fischer, twin sister Stacey (Phillip) Rhein, and brother Andy Fischer. He is preceded in death by his mother Sharon, grandparents Robert and Dorothy Fischer, and grandparents Vernon and Florence Duxbury.
