Sandra Ramos, 72, died December 9, 2016 at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital. Born June 20, 1944 in Yakima, she remained a lifelong resident, attending A.C. Davis High School and eventually earning her G.E.D. at Yakima Valley Community College. Her work life included jobs at Dial-A-Ride, Del Monte and most notably, Libby's where she worked her way from the sorting line to driving a lift truck, an opportunity to be challenged that she relished. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting, cake decorating and betting on the horses at Yakima Meadows. She had two children and gave them the best of herself. As a mother she was always encouraging, always proud and devoted to a fault.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Dressler, her brother Raymond Houk, her sister Leona Houk and her daughter Monique Ramos.
She is survived by a son, Monty Ramos of New Orleans and her nieces Becki and Sandee Deel.
Visitation will be held Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home from 3-7p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10a.m, Thursday December 15, 2016 at Rainier Memorial Center.
