At the age of eight, the family moved to Yakima where he graduated from Yakima High and attended YVC. That was interrupted by a call from the U.S. Army, where he served as a military policeman.
Returning to Yakima, he went to work for Pacific Bell. He worked for the telephone company for 42 years in Yakima, Walla Walla and Seattle. He and wife Sandee of 45 years retired to Diamond Lake, WA. They returned to Yakima in 2010. He enjoyed working in his yard, on classic cars, and spending the winters in Baja and Arizona. He had fun adventures traveling to many places around the world and social times with friends and family.
Bob, the man who could repair anything, and knew the answer to so many questions, will be missed by his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife Sandee, daughters: Rhonda Harobiowski (Ted) of Spokane, Denise Hansen of Yakima, father-in-law, Jerry Kostelecky of Yakima, sister Jeanne Dorsett (Jim) of Azusa, CA; brother R.D. Smith (Patti) of Yakima; brother-in-law Dave Jalbert (Evelyn) of Yakima; brother-in-law Bruce Jalbert, of Denver, CO; brother-in-law Dan Jalbert (Theresa) of Las Vegas, NV; brother-in-law Barry Kostelecky of Yakima; sister-in-law Brenda Gilmore (John) of Yakima; sister-in-law, Barbara Robbins (Mike) of College Station, TX; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Waldo Pritchard, mother, Bonnie Smith Eggert, brother, Roxcy Pritchard, and mother-in-law, Ardyce Kostelecky.
