Richard graduated from Wapato High school where he was very active in sports since 6th grade. While in high school he excelled in football, wrestling and track, even going to the state competition for wrestling as a junior in high school. He married his high school sweetheart Cindy Lamb after high school and began his career as a journeyman carpenter and became a member of the teamster’s engineers. He was really proud of his contribution in construction work of many buildings around the Yakima valley and throughout the state; in addition to working on the Snoqualmie pass road construction project. Richard was a talented carpenter and enjoyed working on different home projects.
As a young adult he played in various softball teams in the Yakima valley and went to tournaments throughout the Pacific Northwest. Richard loved music, concerts and cutting a rug. Richard enjoyed being active and loved nature, he enjoyed being outside admiring the beauty of the outdoors.
He was a wonderful father and dedicated to his son. Becoming a father was Richard’s greatest joy and lovingly doted on his only son. Richard loved his nephews and nieces and enjoyed cheering them on at their activities and sharing in their milestones.
He is survived by his beloved son, Jorge Arambul, father, Manuel Arambul SR, brothers Omar (Brenda) Arambul, Raul (Lala) Arambul, Joseph (Jennifer Barnsley) Arambul, and Manuel (Jaqueline) Arambul Jr; sisters Hilda (Ruben Serrano) Ruiz and Delia (Ron) Bravo and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins who will all miss him tremendously.
He is preceded in death by his mother Guadalupe S. Arambul.
On Sunday, September 27th a viewing is available from 12-4 and rosary service from 4-5 and vigil from 5-6 at Keith & Keith Ninth Ave Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 15 S. 12th Ave., Yakima.
Burial will be at Tahoma Cemetery, 18th Ave. Yakima.
