He is preceded in death by his loving father Roy Everett Warner and mother Helen Mae Warner.
Born and raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He attended Klamath Union High and enlisted to the Army Reserves as a MP Officer. After fulfilling his 3 yrs. in the reserves he was honorably discharged and went on to pursue his passion of becoming a minister. Ray attended Bible Standard College in Eugene, Oregon where he met the love of his life Doreen Simmers. They were married July 25, 1958. After graduating from college Ray and Doreen had two children Paul and Debbie.
Ray became an Assembly of God Pastor where he ministered throughout the Pacific Northwest. He had a passion for his congregations and teaching the word of God. Dad even had a singing voice and loved singing the Old Rugged Cross. In 1966 he moved his family to Yakima, Washington where he pursued his career at Montgomery Ward as a sales manager. After raising his two children he rejoined the ministry leading him to Montana where he and his wife Doreen helped raise their three grandchildren. Ray settled back in Yakima for retirement so he could be closer to family.
Dad loved fishing in his spare time especially with his son Paul. He also was fascinated with trains, either buying DVD’s of trains or just going and looking at them. We will never forget those memories Daddy.
Dad fought to the end with his battle of Parkinson’s. You can finally rest now dad and enjoy your life in heaven. We love you daddy (Grandpa).
Raymond is survived by his loving wife Doreen Marie Warner, Son Paul Warner (Jonna), Daughter Deborah Kay Murphy (Randy), Grandchildren Sarah Floyd (David), Justin Warner (Erin), Jenel Smith (DeAngelo), Carly Meehan (Beau), Ciara Branch (James), Joshua Murphy (Samantha), Rachel Murphy (Jennifer), 9 great grandchildren and cousins.
Celebration of Life will be held at Christian Life Center in Yakima, Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
