Raymond Barry Buck went to Heaven on Monday April 16th in Yakima, WA, with his family at his side. He was born on January 18, 1938 in Corning, New York. He was the oldest of ten children. As a boy he worked on his grandfather’s farm. In 1955 at age 17 he joined the Army. After his years of service, he received his honorable discharge letter from Dwight D. Eisenhower.
He met the love of his life, Anna Kreder at Skateland in Union Gap. They married on September 23, 1956. He was 18 and she was 15. They've spent 55 wonderful years together. Their children are so proud. After the Army, he went to work for the Northern Pacific Railroad, and then helped build the John Day Dam. Later he graduated from a Carpentry Trade School and went on to build many homes in the Selah and Yakima areas.
He enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing. Ray loved music and was a big Mariners fan. After retiring from Carpentry, he enjoyed building wood crafts with his wife. He loved going to his grandchildren’s sporting events and always looked forward to family get togethers.
Ray was kind to everyone he met and never talked bad about anyone. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed! God Bless you Daddy.
