Patricia Jean Padilla

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Patricia (Patty) Jean Padilla was suddenly granted her angel wings on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 with her husband by her side in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico. Patty was born on April 14, 1959 to Joe C. Garcia and Tessie (Crespin) Garcia in Portales, New Mexico.

Patty will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Victor; children Theresa, Nicholas, Michelle, Olivia, Grace, Victor, Marissa; grandchildren Erik Jr., Steven, Maggie, Emily, Manny, Carter, Lexie, Gavin, Jaida, Sheylah, Nicky, Jaylen, Noah, Ayden, Aries, Atlas, Ava, Sienna, Eros, Brynlee; and numerous other family members and friends. Patty was preceded in death by her grandson baby Lui; parents Tessie and Joe Garcia; brothers, Benny and Joe Jr.; and sister, Cathy.

In August 1976, Patty met the love of her life Victor at Fred Meyer which led to a drive-in movie date and they were married 4 months later on December 18th. Shortly after they married they started their family and have been inseparable since. They worked and played soccer together. She devoted her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when they needed her.

Everyone who knew Patty knew of her cooking: homemade flour tortillas, tamales, and fudge. She also, enjoyed canning chilies and jelly. She was a hard worker and could fix anything. She loved shopping at the goodwill, finding weekend yard sales, traveling and spending time with her family all while capturing every moment of it. She will be also greatly missed for her crazy beautiful sense of humor.

Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Patty, are invited to a Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church (212 N 4th St., Yakima, WA 98901) at 2pm, on Friday, December 29, 2023. With a celebration of life to follow at New Hope Community Church-Nazarene (29 Channel Dr., Yakima, WA 98901) at 5pm.
