She is survived by her three children: Diane Jordan of Puyallup, WA (David), Virginia Vandersluis of Zillah, WA (Russell) and Charles Nalley of Burien, WA (Susan), seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Susan Alvin and Judy Creasy and brothers Joseph Gause and Edwin Gause.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Nalley, grandson Mark Jordan, and her sisters Virginia Manion, Roberta Gause, Francis Mayhew, and Rosemary Niles.
Pat grew up in Union Gap, WA with her siblings and aunts, uncles, and cousins. In 1953 she met Marvin Nalley and they married in 1954. They lived in Yakima, Naches and eventually they bought and moved to the apple ranch in Tieton in 1968. They lived in Tieton for almost 40 years until Marvin passed away.
In 1972 Pat graduated from the nursing program at Yakima Valley College and worked several years at Yakima Memorial Hospital. She loved taking care of her patients.
Pat enjoyed large family gatherings where her great cooking was thoroughly appreciated. Her delicious pies were favorites – apple or banana cream, anyone? She also loved growing flowers including gorgeous hybrid iris, beautiful roses, and brilliant dahlias. Pat also believed every home needed a cat…or two or three! She was a member of the Naches Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years serving in many capacities as needed including board member, Sunday School teacher, and welcome contributor to potlucks.
A Celebration of Life for Pat is planned for April 21, 2023, at 11am at Langevin El Paraiso, 1010 West Yakima Avenue. All are welcome. We look forward to hearing your favorite stories of Pat at the celebration of her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Yakima Union Gospel Mission in Pat’s name would be appreciated.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.lepfuneralhome.com for the Nalley family.
