Norma J. Dubois

Evelyn was born August 30, 1920, in Constable, New York, to Oran and Carrie (Rousselle) Wachob. She moved with her family from New York to Randle when she was four years old. Evelyn moved to Selah in 1936, and had lived their since.

Evelyn is survived by a sister, Virginia Ries Layton of Canby, OR; nieces and nephews, Marc (Shirley) Tarr of Olympia, Pearl Taylor of Wilsonville,

OR, Myra (Jim) Webb of Phoeniz, AZ, Gary (Sue) Ries of Eugene, OR, Janis ( Ted) Ries Hensley of Woodburn, OR; a nephew by marriage, David (Una) Bernier of Yakima, a niece by marriage, Darlene (Dennis) Shafer of Yakima, and a sister-in-law, Inez Garrison of Yakima.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, Oran Wachob in 1976; her mother, Carrie Wachob in 1991; her husband, Ernie Bernier in 1969; a sister, Betty Tarr; and by a close friend, Rex Edmondson in 1987.

In honor of her request, no funeral service will be held. Inurnment will be at West Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association of Washington, in care of Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
