Merrill Howard Switzer Jr.

After graduating from High School, Merrill served in the U.S. Army. After his military service, he married Mary Elizabeth (Beatty) on November 28, 1952. She preceded him in death on May 17,

2006.

Merrill worked in the Space Aeronautics Industry as a Master Scheduler. He worked for various companies including Rockwell International, Boeing and Hanford. His family was very privileged to have very up close and personal contact with completed spaceships and aircraft that Merrill had worked on.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Bruce) Wendel and Amy (Adam) Lloyd; sons Brad Switzer and Merrill Switzer III; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, 2 sisters Anabel Calley and Sandra Clark, daughter in law Debra Switzer and his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, June 30, 2016

at Rainier Memorial Center, burial will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
