Maria Helen Zamarripa

June 16, 1940 ~ June 27, 2023

Maria and Zammie were married on February16, 1970. They had one son Sam on April 4, 1973. Sam was attending the University of Washington, studying computer engineering when on April 5, 2002 he suffered heart attack and passed away. He and Maria are now together again.

Maria was a stay at home mom all through their marriage. On Tuesday June 27 Maria said she was tired after she had made dinner for me. I told her to take a nap, it was the last thing I ever said to her, she fell asleep and didn’t wake up. I am having a very hard time handling her death. She had just had her 83rd birthday on June 16. We had our ups and downs throughout our marriage but we had 53 wonderful years of marriage and that is quite an accomplishment I have loved Maria for 53 years in the same house. I believe in heaven and we will meet again
