Lorren James McKenzie

Lorren James McKenzie went to be with our Lord Thursday, August 24th, 2023 peacefully. Lorren was born in Yakima, Washington on December 12, 1946. He is survived by his two sons, Marc and Daniel McKenzie, his 3 sisters, Joyce Scott, Hazel Rice and Kathy Stone, and his brother, Leonard McKenzie. He is also survived by his only granddaughter Jessica McKenzie. He is preceded in death by his parents Lucille and Leonard McKenzie. Lorren spent his years loving the outdoors, wood working, and cooking. He spent 9 years in the military service, serving during the Vietnam War. Lorren was a security guard at the Hanford Site for years and spent his golden years having fun and living life to the fullest. His love for his family was evident every day. He reconnected with his son when his granddaughter was born. She was the light of his life.

A visitation for Lorren will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902. A graveside service will occur Friday, September 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Tahoma Cemetery, 1802 Tahoma Ave, Yakima, WA 98902.
