Linda Marie Uecker went to our Lord, on January 13, 2024 at the age of 70. Linda was the oldest of 6 children. Born on February 7, 1953 in San Antonio, TX, to David and Barbara Halbert. During Linda's early years her family was stationed in Germany and traveled throughout Europe. In 1959, the entire family returned to the United States and lived in Texas and California before finally settling in Yakima, WA. There Linda attended St. Joseph Academy and graduated from AC Davis High School in 1971.
After graduation, Linda met and married her loving husband, Clayton Uecker, who has been a constant companion and dedicated caregiver for the past 51 years. In 1973, Linda and Clayton welcomed their first son Jason, a year later Justin and in 1980, Jeremy, who made their family of 5 complete. Linda was a loving mother who adored her 3 sons and each have become wonderful men and exceptional fathers.
Linda worked for the United States Postal Service in Yakima. She started her career as a rural carrier and eventually became a well-respected supervisor. To this day her sons are told what a wonderful person their mother was. Prior to becoming ill, Linda loved to go camping and fishing with her family and enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S., taking Sister Trips with her 3 sisters and mother. When her body no longer allowed her the ability to work at the USPS, she settled into living a new normal where she took joy in the simple pleasures of life. Linda loved to read, was incredibly artistic and helped raise all 5 of her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband, Clayton Uecker, sons Jason (Tanya), Justin (Amanda), and Jeremy; Mother, Barbara Halbert; Sisters, Janet Frank (Norman), Joan Fischer (Daniel), Lori Olsen (Brad). She is also survived by her grandchildren Samantha Leffew, Amber Uecker, Annalise Uecker, Allison and Aidan Uecker and great grandchildren, Quinn, Miles and Delilah, many cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Linda is preceded in death by father David Halbert, brother David Halbert Jr., baby sister Jeannie Halbert, grandparents Pearl and Guy Halbert, Arthur and Margaret Dahlke. Though Linda's body would not allow her the freedom of strength, she lived a full, loving life and will forever be a role model of positivity and resilience.

Rev 21:1-4
He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
