Celena was about 13 years old when her mother and step-father started Campbell Construction, building condos in the Yakima Valley. This is when her love of using tools started. Celena worked many hours remodeling the family home inside and out. When something was broken she could fix it.
Celena was employed with Dignity Memorial of Yakima in 2003 serving as the Office Manager and Accountant for Keith & Keith, Langevin-Mussetter and Merritts Funeral Home. She always kept everyone on their toes, she had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh.
She is survived by her significant other, Kevin Lawson; her father, George Snider; her brother, Steve Snider; step-sons, Joshua, Jeremy and Brandon Lawson; her very dear friends, Larry & Corrine Thomas, Denise Thomas and Kirsten’s best buddy, Gabby. Also her four Chihuahua’s, Skooter Bug, Zoe, Gabby and Bailey. Preceding her in death was her mother, Marie and her daughter, Kirsten.
Celena’s nickname for her daughter Kirsten was “Baby Girl”. Kirsten passed away in 2008 after a battle with cancer. Celena and Kirsten had a very special bond. Celena’s desire was to be with her “Baby Girl” and ride horses all the time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Celena’s name to Children’s Hospital in Seattle or Ronald McDonald House c/o Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
